Morgan & Lorna’s House
- Brief & Reference
Naturalistic, textured, real-world lived in space with heartbeat & history. The house was bought by Morgan & Lorna decades ago
Ideally a rambling queenslander with plenty of depth and layering
They have not renovated it, ideally an older style kitchen with look through bench / countertop / windows out to back garden, ideally a hillshoist in the back garden
It has older furniture that is still in good nick, they reuse and repair things. The have their established chairs and spaces - well worn routines and a comfortability and ease with each other
A homely nest with layers built up over time it depicts familial stability, warmth and more ‘traditional’ values & ideals
Textured walls
Wallpaper / brick
or if QLD’r wooden "vertical joint," and groove walls
Ideally large windows looking out to the street
Lived-in details: Evidence of shared experiences and accumulated life moments
Warm practical lighting sources: lamps - creating intimate pools of light, string lights (at party),
Due to shooting style (handheld / steadycam / fluid) the house needs to accommodate freedom of movement for the camera - so it needs to have depth and be spacious / expansive'
